My new book, authored with my husband, Michael Maslin, is called CARTOON MARRIAGE: Adventures in Love and Matrimony by The New Yorker’s Cartooning Couple, and will be published by Random House at the end of January 09.
You can see it–pre order if you want–on the Random House website, Barnes and Nobel and Amazon It’s a collection of our cartoons with graphic narratives done by the two of us together. All on the topic of– yes– marriage (and ours, too). Soon, I will have a page dedicated to it on this site.
Michael and I drew the cover together, an homage to George Herriman.
A grad student I met in San Francisco did a small documentary on the Cartoon Art Museum and me. It’s a nice little movie…check it out.
Check out my recently published book: A collection of cartoons by ten wonderful cartoonists who happen to be women. See some photos from the Launch Party held at The Museum of Sex in NYC on April 1st in my posts.
It is getting attention on the new site, wowowow.com See their books page!
Sex And Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Modern Love in 200 Cartoons
Wonderful cartoons by 8 New Yorker cartoonists and 2 Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonists–all about the battle of the sexes. The cartoonists not only contributed hilarious cartoons, but also very interesting essays on what it means to be a cartoonist, a woman, and how they feel about sex. The book is fun and political, and I had a great time editing it.

The women who contributed are: Roz Chast, Carolita Johnson, Ann
Telnaes, Kim Warp, Julia Suits, Marisa Acocella Marchetto, Barbara
Smaller, Victoria Roberts, Signe Wilkinson and myself.
Published by TWELVE, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing. There will be a booksingings and other events which will be listed here and on my Sex and Sensibility page of this website.

Hi Liza,
I’m trying to find your round table talk on the web but it’s not there yet. Shucks. Can’t wait to see the book and buy it too. Hooray!
I hope you’ll sign it with a naked self portrait!
See you at the cello stand.
